Nothing is more aggravating & frustrating than heating equipment that fails to work in the middle of terrible weather.
There was a Wintertide when the heating system broke down five days before our engagement celebration in our home. When I called the heating business & explained our situation, they responded hastily, which I was grateful for. That day was jinxed because I almost lost our ring loading the washer apart from the Heating, Ventilation and A/C malfunctioning. It fell & rolled to God-knows-where, & I spent a frustrating more than one hours trying to find it. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional gave myself and others even more terrible news because she told myself and others that no amount of repair could fix the mess that was our heating device. Every one of us had to use the fireplace, which only warmed the dining room. I tried our best to keep up with heating system service, but that unit was so old Nelson Mandela must have been studying the alphabet when they installed it. I was planning on replacing it with an electric heater, but that was in numerous weeks to come. I told the heating serviceman about our idea, & she examined the house, did some calculations, & gave myself and others the amount of cash needed for the entire process. Every one of us had to tap into some of the cash in our emergency fund to top up on what we had saved for the electric heat pump; Lucky for us, we had a wireless thermostat & functioning ductwork in excellent condition because, at the time, we could not have afforded to cater for all that. Every one of us made the final arrangements with the Heating, Ventilation and A/C dealer, & they delivered the equipment, including a HEPA filter. On the eve of the celebration, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman installed the electric heating system.
