AC care is part of winter prep

It’s going to be a white Christmas this year… And our empathetic husband is consistently easily gleeful about that.

But then again, it’s more unusual for us to have anything but a white Christmas! Pretty much, once it snows it stays because of the uneven temperatures… Obviously, in our region heating is the main HVAC concern; we’re lucky to have easily awesome residential HVAC in our home.

I grew up in a house that had a big boiler in the basement, this thing was the size of a car plus a big car at that. Of course, boilers create radiant heating which is some of the most comfortable heating available. But the fact is, a boiler is not exactly the most efficient or easy way when it comes to heating a house… So my friend and I have relied on a gas fuel furnace for as long as we have been in this home. We’re undoubtedly on our seventh single plus it’s still doing great. But when my friend and I moved in here, I also added a wood stove in order to have an emergency heating method. But there is more to it than just HVAC equipment. At the end of Summer each year, I chop out our checklist plus start at the top when it comes to winterizing our house… Keeping the house sealed up along with correct heating repair goes a long way toward maximizing the efficiency of the gas fuel furnace. But I also find it sort of ironic that I also have to look after the air conditioning as part of our winter season prep. I undoubtedly have a cover that goes over the HVAC cupboard outside that does the air conditioning. This keeps the weight of snow plus ice off the delicate heat pump parts. It will be another cozy Christmas in our house again this year thanks to HVAC plus winter season prep.
