An unbudgeted whole-home air purification system

We had a clear budget on how much we would spend on the smart HVAC during our renovation project.

The home service provider we contacted gave us a quotation we used to come up with the budget.

It was much lower than the one we had initially come up with because we had even included the ductwork installation cost. When the HVAC professional assessed the vents, he told us they were in good condition, and all they needed was duct cleaning and possibly sealing. It gave us more room in the budget for other things we needed since we had sealed the deal with indoor air quality. I had to leave for work for about three weeks, but I left the supervision job in the hands of my able wife. When I came back, there was a lot of progress. Looking through everything, I noticed a new air purification help. When I asked Liz about it, she told me that she did not feel the heat pump’s air purification system would be enough, so she had to look into other air quality systems. The minute she said that, I said a short prayer that the whole-home air purification unit was the only thing she had decided to go overboard with and nothing else. She noted that the HVAC technician suggested an additional gadget since she was very concerned about indoor air purification. If it was up to me, an air filter was as far as I could have gone, but all the same, it was a reasonable concern. She tends to get carried away and goes over budget sometimes. Luckily that was the only change she had made thus far.
