I didn’t realize how much money the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C bills were entirely taking from myself and others each week. It wasn’t until I had to kneel down plus start splitting costs due to inflation, that I realized. I wasted $300 a month on heating plus cooling alone. I appreciate indoor comfort as much as anyone, however that was just ridiculous. As much as I enjoyed our climate control system, I knew I would have to start splitting back, plus that is what I did. Instead of running the cooling plan most of the afternoon, no matter what the weather was, I decided to only run the cooling system on either entirely overheated afternoons, or sometimes at night if I needed the cooler temperatures to sleep. Since the temperatures outside can be fairly mild, there would be many afternoons where I wouldn’t end up using the heating plus cooling system equipment at all. The afternoons were often cool, cool enough for myself and others to sleep in, so I oftentimes didn’t even need to run the cooling components then either. It entirely felt better doing this, because I felt that running the a/c on afternoons where I entirely needed it was more productive, plus I knew I was no longer running the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment too much. And at the end of the week, I could absolutely tell a difference! My bill dropped to $250, plus while that was still fancy, I bet I could get it to drop more. The month after that it was $200, which was absolutely more passable. I have been able to use that money for better things, all while still having fantastic indoor comfort.
