He sent me to HVAC school to save money.

He then turned and gave me another smile.

When I got out of high school, I already knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to go to HVAC school and work with my dad. It was funny, because when I was younger, I didn’t think I would ever want to be an HVAC technician. As I got older, my mind was changing. It wasn’t until dad told me he was going to send me to HVAC school to save money that I started was seriously considering a job in HVAC. I asked him how he was going to save money, and he smiled and said I was going to work for free. I thought he was kidding, or I hoped he was kidding. I would live with them forever if he never paid me. I talked to dad and asked if he was serious about me working for him for free. He laughed and gave me a look that me wonder. He laughed even harder and told me he expected me to be paid less than the rest of the HVAC technicians for the first year. He was going to have me working one on one with every HVAC technician he had so I could learn about every HVAC system, and how to work on them and installed them. He then turned and gave me another smile. When he said the rest of the plans would be ready by the end of that year, I was curious. He showed me the picture of a new sign he was going to have made for the HVAC company. He was adding &Son to the sign. He told me he wanted me to be a full partner, and I almost cried.
