I finally figured out how to be comfortable at the gym.
It was easy to fix because I stopped going.
But for more than a year, I tried and tried to get comfortable inside the commercial HVAC of that gym. It’s going on 18 months now since I made a big change in my life when it comes to my health. While I made some big changes when it came to diet, rest, meditation and not being sedentary, working out has been a big part of all this. I’m so thankful to have finally gotten to the point where I was willing to go all in when it came to changing my behavior. For far too long, I would sit all day inside the commercial HVAC of the office only to come home and sit all evening in my recliner. That’s just too much sitting inside some form of central air conditioning. I’m standing up for at least half the day at work thanks to a desk riser my wife got me. And I’m getting my workouts in every day instead of plopping down inside the air conditioning each night. But I’m not going to the gym for my workouts. I just couldn’t feel comfortable there. I didn’t like the heating and cooling and I was not fond of working out with people I didn’t know. So I have a home gym in the basement with a ductless heat pump for all my air conditioning needs. A home gym can be a bit of a commitment as can outfitting it with equipment and a ductless heat pump. But I’m not skipping workouts any longer and I’m actually looking forward to my daily workout now that I have a gym in the basement.
