HVAC maintenance avoids undetected issues

I used to think that heating and A/C maintenance didn’t really have much value.

All the heating and A/C worker does is come over and briefly look at your HVAC machine, declare it is fine and then leave.

And they want me to pay for that? I don’t think so. I could do that myself. But I was wrong. It turns out there is a lot more that goes on with A/C maintenance than I had originally thought. One the A/C specialist comes out and actually tests the different areas of your heating and cooling device. Two, if you have a really awesome heating and air conditioning business like I do, they will clean out the cooling component for you as well. I have had A/C specialists come out and completely clean my fairly dirty central air conditioning unit. But the selling point for me as to why I know that A/C maintenance and A/C tune ups is important is when it saved me a potentially expensive air conditioning repair bill. When I was on a free trial for their A/C service plan, one of the benefits was to get free A/C tune ups. Before that, I had never gotten any kind of maintenance done before. While the air conditioning specialist was looking at the unit, he told me one of the parts was going bad, and thankfully he actually happened to have a spare part with him. If I didn’t have that maintenance, it would have turned out completely differently, and that is when I realized that frequent maintenance was a great idea.
