One of the biggest game changers for me when I was working at home in my office was investing in a smart thermostat.
My nephew kept telling me that I could save a lot of money on my energy bills simply by using a modern smart thermostat, but I didn’t believe him back then.
He kept telling me about it though and then showed me an online video where an HVAC professional was talking about smart thermostats. After watching that video and seeing a qualified expert talking about all the energy savings, I thought that maybe my nephew knew more than I thought. So I finally invested in a smart thermostat and I was delighted with it right away! The thing I appreciated the most was being able to adjust the temperature control settings remotely. I can’t tell you how often I would have to adjust the temperature control settings just to be comfortable in my office and other areas in my home. Another cool thing is the fact that the smart thermostat learned my preferred temperature control settings, so I didn’t have to worry about programming the thing. That’s something that always bothered me when I considered getting a programmable thermostat in the past, I didn’t really want to deal with the programming part because I have never been so great with technology. Now I can actually adjust the temperature control settings via an app on my phone and one on my desktop PC. It’s hard to believe I can adjust the temperature control by just clicking a mouse or pulling out my phone.
