Your body temperature significantly increases when you are pregnant.
You just feel hotter and are more susceptible to heat.
In the first trimester the early summer heat made me feel a bit nauseous. I knew as long as I used my gym’s fan for cooling, I would be okay. I could still walk around outside in the heat and I didn’t change the AC settings in my house. The second trimester made me feel even hotter. My shed that serves as my gym needed air conditioning. I couldn’t stand to work out with a fan anymore. I purchased a window air conditioner and that really helped things out. I then removed my bedroom comforter so that I didn’t need to change the house air conditioner setting. I was then at the right temperature. Walking around outside was tough, but I did take AC breaks and that was fine. Now I am in the last trimester. I am a sweaty beast. Summer is just about over and I am still too hot. I can’t work out with the window AC anymore. It just isn’t powerful enough. I have to stay inside right underneath an air vent when I do anything. I also am down to just a bedsheet at night. I use my overhead fan and I have lowered the thermostat a few degrees. My poor husband wears pants and socks in the house at all times. I can’t even poke my nose outside either. The temperatures are still in the 80s and that is too warm for me. I can’t be away from AC even for a moment.
