Back when I was a kid, I really used to love talking to the people who’d come over to our house.
I was always a talkative little kid and I wanted to learn everything that I could about anyone and everyone.
Dad said that at times I’d just sit and talk to a rock if no one else wanted to listen to me. I think that they are honestly right about that, too. I’m still that way, to tell you the truth. My partner says that I’d talk to anyone who would ever listen to me and that I have never met a stranger. He’s right, too, I guess. Back when I was a kid, I used to enjoy talking to service guys who would come over to the house. Dad always tells this story about how on this specific afternoon, we had a Heating & A/C serviceman over to the house to repair our outdated oil furnace. I’d not leave him alone down in the basement with the furnace because I wanted to talk to him and learn all about the tools that he was working with to repair the furnace. I was so curious to see what he was doing to the furnace and I also wanted to play with the tools that he was working with. I care about the way my mom tells it because she said that I was such a pain to the Heating & A/C serviceman that she thought that he was never going to be done fixing the furnace. He said that it took him longer than it should have because I would not stop asking him questions.
