I’m wrapping Hanukkah presents that I got with some of the savings I achieved this Summer on cooling costs, however of course, the new heat pump is rather quiet these days as the weather is virtually perfect.
I’m so fortunate to live in a region where I don’t have to worry about snow, ice or long periods of cold.
The Worst case is that my friend and I might get a cold snap plus the heat pump comes on more than two mornings in a row. But that is pretty much the extent of the heating my friends and I need down here. Still, while I like to count the savings from this past Summer plus spending it on my loved ones, I’m already thinking up new strategies. I’ve easily been pretty serious about HVAC cost reducing strategies for the last more than two or 4 years. We’ve only been living in the south for about many years now. The first couple of years all my friend and I could do was lean right into all the air conditioning my friend and I could stand. But recognize me, that is not an approach that comes cheaply. I overspent on over cooling my new home that is for sure. So more than two to 4 years ago, I decided to get serious about saving on air conditioning expenses. Of course, my friend and I like to get seasonal HVAC repairs plus that is pressing to maximize the efficiency of the HVAC unit. But after that I did the basics love sealing up my house plus stopping direct sunlight heating. However, nothing’s easily going to help unless you have some climate control unit discipline. I saved more plus more with each passing summer. So this year, I’m pondering not cooking in the kitchen however out on the grill. That way, I won’t be heating up the new house only to have to add more cooling.
