Not only did I save my job but I also got promoted because my work was so good while I was at home
I am stoked to report that I was able to get through the pandemic without getting sick plus without losing my job. Both of these feats were ones that I wasn’t so sure that I’d pull off. When I found out I was going to have to leave the commercial HVAC of the office suite downtown to work from home, I got nervous. I’ve been working from the zone controlled HVAC of that office for over 20 years. But I also knew that our dealer was not in the best shape plus was trying its best to cut down on costs. I was easily afraid that I was going to be a salary casualty plus end up being dismissed due to the nasty pandemic. But I thought I would try my best in order to prove that I was extravagant to the dealership even working from the central air conditioning of my house. It took some time for me to easily get a good structure when it came to working at home, and my adolescents were at home studying online inside the air conditioning as well. My hubby needed to spend a good deal of time traveling by vehicle to get to his purchasers so he wasn’t around much. So that first Summer was pretty tough plus our control unit sure is not set at the same temps as the office either. But that long, hot Summer ended up showing me that working remotely was easily what I am more cut out to do. Not only did I save my job but I also got promoted because my work was so good while I was at home. So now, I have a full on home office in my condo with a ductless heat pump that provides perfect air conditioning while I continue to do my work remotely.
