I always had a love for creating bookmarks.
I always loved books, and I used to spend a lot of time repairing antique books, but I feel like I mastered the craft, so then I started creating bookmarks. Although I see it as a fairly normal thing to do, a lot of people look at me kind of weird when I tell them that’s what I do for a living, I guess because it’s not what they were expecting to hear. It can be kind of lonely when it seems like no one understands your passion, and it took me a while to get used to it. I needed to have HVAC maintenance done on my A/C unit and heater. I just moved into a new area 6 months ago, and I figured it was time to get the new HVAC device checked on. The independent HVAC contractor came over and started to perform HVAC tune ups on the air conditioner and heating unit, while he worked, we talked and I mentioned my bookmark making passion. The guy looked at me and told me he used to create bookmarks when he was young! He told me it was always so fun, but he was never really good. Hearing that I still professionally made bookmarks, he wanted to learn some of my secrets and get back into making them. I was ecstatic! Finally someone to share my passion with! We ended up swapping knowledge, and he told me more about A/C equipment, which was really cool to learn about.
