Our multi split air conditioner was destroyed by a bull on our ranch.
We have many cows and bulls on our farm and they’ve never given us any problems until recently. Our barn needed a new air conditioning system because the window air conditioners were too expensive to run all the time. We considered getting a central air conditioner but then settled on a multi split air conditioner for the barn. We also invested in a very nice zone controlled HVAC unit to help with the different habitats of different animals in our barn. The multi split air conditioner worked wonderfully to keep the barn animals cool and to help with indoor comfort as well as indoor air quality. One afternoon I walked into the barn and was horrified to find that it was extremely hot inside. At first I thought that maybe the farm hand had turned on the gas furnace because of the cold night and forgot to turn it off, but when I went to the smart thermostat I found out that the furnace was not on. I messed around the smart thermostat and discovered that the multi split air conditioner was disconnected from the thermostat. I went outside and looked at the air conditioner and found that the angry bull had rammed into the side of the a/c unit several times and completely demolished it! We took care of the board and hired a few HVAC technicians to install a new multi split air conditioner into the barn. If you have animals it is important to keep your air conditioner safe from them.
