Making a documentary on the renowned air conditioning company

Working in the film industry has been a passion of mine since I knew I could write.

Now in my career, I write screenplays and sometimes create documentaries. This summer, we were getting ready to premiere a documentary that I had worked very hard at. I was basing the documentary on the cooling industry and in particular the most successful air conditioning company in the country. My team and I had put in hundreds of hours following the professionals at the company. We would accompany the air conditioning technicians to their offsite jobs and witness how they work as well as how they interact with customers. We would accompany them to HVAC installation jobs. These jobs were the most complex and tasking of all the other jobs, in my opinion. We also spoke to the air conditioning provider about the quality of air conditioners and the evolution of the technology used in their manufacture. We filmed the thermostats, how they were used and the different types and brands that were available. The a/c serviceman would confirm with the customer before we left the office to avoid us wasting time. Apart from the challenges, the documentary was taking shape. One of the reasons this indoor comfort business was popular was because of the quality of the services they offered. They even had a manual they shared with the customer that illustrated the air conditioning repairs and HVAC maintenance steps that the customer could handle on their own. They also had the best systems in the business including a multi-split air conditioning system to provide excellent air quality, something that gained them the high-end customers. To witness how much this company had grown was an honor, I got to learn more about air conditioning while working on this documentary.
