Mom was a bit lost when we all moved out of the house.
All her life, she had dedicated herself to raising her kids. But, we were now all grown and ready to fly the coop. She tried a small business, but it never really took off. Next, she joined local clubs but never felt she had found her place. One day, I came home from college with a friend to visit mom and see how she was doing. My friend’s mom was coming into town and passed by the house to meet my mom. She was driving a mobile home, and mom was amazed. They talked about life on the road; the next thing I knew, mom had her own mobile home and was traveling around. She came by our campus town to say hello later that year and also have her cooling system inspected. I met her, and we went to the HVAC professional to inspect the HVAC system. The HVAC professional was impressed by the mobile home, and the mom was more than happy to share her travel stories. She was vlogging the HVAC repair for her fans. I never knew she had fans! The HVAC professional did some maintenance work on the mobile home’s cooling system. He also recommended an upgrade for the thermostat. The dial thermostat wasn’t as efficient, so he installed a smart thermostat in mom’s mobile home. I’ve not seen my mom this happy in a long time, and we are all glad she found something she loves doing. She even has more followers on Instagram than I do!
