I recently went out and bought a portable a/c, but it works really great and it is ultra powerful, but the one issue I have with it is that the cord is too short for where I want to plug it in and move it to. I need to go out and buy a longer cord that fits this portable a/c, otherwise the portable a/c will be stuck laying in a corner against the wall not cooling the room to the best that it can. My electrical outlets in this new home are not exactly placed at the most convenient spots when it comes to wanting to run portable heating and A/C equipment. I would want my new portable a/c further down the base of the wall in the rooms that I place it in, however and it seems the only way to do this is to find a longer cord that will work with the portable a/c. I will have a look online at multiple retailers and see if any have the exact type of cord I need. If they do not I will have to most likely go to some kind of electrical wholesaler or dealership to find the particular cord that I need to make my portable a/c reach where I need to reach in the rooms that I keep it in within my home. I should be able to get an extension cord for my portable a/c for not too much money. Or at least that would be the nice and ideal way for it to all work out.
