I have a window A/C device in our beach house but I also have a central A/C device.
You might be wondering why, plus for a long time, I also wondered why I needed more than one A/C in our beach house when I could clearly survive with just one A/C device.
The reason is that my partner is an absolute tyrant when it comes to the Heating plus A/C devices in our house! We didn’t even talk about our Heating plus A/C preferences before we got married. We had never lived together before we ended up getting married, plus we honestly didn’t talk much about the practical stuff when we initially got married. Who wants to talk about Heating plus A/C devices when you are in love. Apparently, you should. When we initially moved in together, we were able to realize pretty hastily that we definitely didn’t appreciate the same temperatures as each other. She prefers warmer temperatures, plus I love cooler temperatures. Naturally, I was willing to compromise in order to make her completely comfortable, however she hardly backed down. Even though we have a beautiful A/C in our household, she sets the temperature on the control unit so high while in the Summer that our A/C might as well not even be on. I have complained about it, however she won’t back down about not using the A/C device too much. Rather than argue with my partner about the temperature, I have decided to buy a window A/C device for my office. I have an office with my workspace plus relaxation space, plus I have a window A/C device. I spend most of my time in this area because I guess that I can’t handle the heat. If she wants to have me come to the bedroom, she can adjust the temperature control unit first.
