I prefer a nice deal more than the next woman. My friends love to make fun of myself and others and they call myself and others cheap all the time, however at the end of the day I am the one who has more money in our savings account than them. I am obsessed with saving money on our electric bill. One of the ways that I save money is I do not run our central air conditioning in the Summer or our central heat in the winter. This may seem silly to some people, but I have found ways to stay warm and cool without breaking the bank. In the Winter time I use a portable heating system to stay warm. You study that correctly. I do not use our central heater, just a portable heater. When it gets really cold, I also light our fireplace and wear an electric blanket. My portable heating system was for sale online and I got it at a discount price. In the summer, I do not use our central air conditioning. You guessed it, I use our portable air conditioning. I move the portable air conditioning to whichever room I am in in our apartment. I also use cooling towels and I avoid using the oven and stove top as much as possible in the summer. My portable air conditioning was for sale online and also was on sale. The frugal life is keeping our electric bill nice and low!
