Man, that heating leak in my home just drove myself and others crazy.
I just couldn’t find it; We live in an older home and with older houses come drafts, then this was something I knew before both of us bought this house, then and drafts just kill the efficiency of even the genuinely latest in residential HVAC and gas gas furnace HVAC technology.
And both of us live in a region where there is almost six weeks of Wintertide and that has not an exaggeration. The cost of HVAC heating is high enough separate from having a drafty home to make it worse, then so when both of us bought the place, I had the windows replaced with double paned windows. We also added some insulation in the attic along with a current roof that was added by the seller before it went on the market, i put in some extreme storm doors and the best weather stripping I could buy. All of my efforts were aimed at making a cozy space for my family and reducing the cost of HVAC heating! Yet, despite my best efforts, I still have that dang draft. And I scoured the home to find it however it took a going to see friend to show myself and others where it was. Actually, he showed myself and others an instant read thermal gun and it found the problem. That thermal gun was what finally lead myself and others to find the culprit when it came to my HVAC heating cost. Ironically, it was 1 of the windows I had had replaced, but that window had not been respectfully insulated and that was the problem. The window business got an earful from myself and others before they corrected the problem. This Wintertide will be saving even more on HVAC heating cost.
