Starting at a good school

This month is the morning for the start of the Springtime semester.

This is not an ordinary first morning of school as our father & I moved across the country at the end of our last Springtime semester.

So modern school & hopefully some modern cool friends! I live within a few blocks from the school so I’m going to walk. I walked by it a few times while I was in the tepid summer. I never really got to experience air conditioner unless I went out for brunch, the grocery store or the precious option our dad took me to the movies. I kind of got used to the heat & I could not imagine standing in for minutes at a time. Fall is coming soon & I helped our dad install an electric furnace. I suppose we’ll be sizzling while I was in the Winter at least! The outside of the school is really old looking, bricked, something straight out of the 60s! Walking in I know a cooling sensation which I really much enjoy. I really don’t want to be feeling all muggy standing at our desk all morning. I see above me vents blowing out cool air! This place has central air so most likely I’m going to know freezing at some point. I’m so used to the heat! I put our stuff in our locker & start walking to class. Lots of modern faces making sly looks at me. I understand I’m the modern kid. While walking I bumped into another guy. The two of us both apologized & he said his name is Michael. I told him our name is Darnell. He asked where I was heading. I looked at our card & said room 302, the educator’s name is Mrs, but jankowski. He said we are heading the same way & we can go together.
