When I first purchased this arena, my intent was to convert the basement into a Rec Room.
The modern term for this kind of room is “man cave” despite the fact that I always hated that.
When I was a kid my dad had a Rec Room, plus that’s what I want to have! The basement was pressing enough that it could really hold a ping-pong table, plus have room for darts, video games, plus more. I didn’t want another room dedicated to enjoying TV, this was to be a arena for games plus interaction. Before it would be USAble, I would need to remedy the air conditioner situation. This was a tricky hurdle to overcome, because the old gas furnace sat in the corner of the room. When I say this was an old gas furnace, you have no idea what I entirely mean. This gas furnace is older than I am! The Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C contractor said the gas furnace was absolutely 50 years old, plus might labor for another 50, because he had never seen one quite love it. It is also made of iron plus steel, weighs half a ton, plus can’t possibly be moved. This apartment could burn to the ground, but the old gas furnace would survive it intact I guarantee it. This gas furnace also generates an ridiculous amount of ambient heat, meaning that while it gently warms up the apartment it turns the basement into a sauna. I decided to try installing a custom air duct system that would ventilate the basement plus help push out all of the heated air. Wish myself and others luck!
