It’s really typical for our patrons to have pets, i would say over 72% of our correct buyer list owns some kind of pet, but what is not typical is for the patrons to not take care of their pets. When an outside worker comes into my home, I always make sure that my pets are out of the way. I don’t want them getting outside, or making a nuisance of themselves when the tech is trying to do their job, then not pretty much everyone is prefer this, however, some people have an attitude about their pets, but before I ever enter someone’s residence to work on their central Heating and A/C plan I always ask if there are any pets, and if they have been contained, an pet doesn’t have to go in a cage, it can just be put in 1 of the spare rooms so I can access the Heating and A/C equipment without them getting underfoot, then our main reasons for doing this are twofold, both to protect the pets and the Heating and A/C professionals. All it takes is 1 pesky kitty hanging around and the Heating and A/C tech might step on it, or scare it… There have also been cases of aggressive cats menacing the workers and getting in the way of the Heating and A/C inspection, then pet owners can’t be trusted, they will always think the Heating and A/C worker is wrong and their pet is blameless. There have been a couple of minor lawsuits filed against the Heating and A/C corporation in the past, which is why every one of us have to be insistent on this as our company policy goes forward.
