Grandma knew the HVAC technician there to service her unit as a young boy who grew up in the area
Mom always likes to tell us stories about her life when she was younger. Even though we are all adults, we always find her tales fascinating. In another life, she would become the world’s greatest storyteller. It’s not only us who love mom’s tales, but also her grandchildren. She has 6 of them and holidays at the farm is what all our kids look forward to. They begin making plans even before summer and immediately school closes, we are off. The adults leave after a week or so, but the kids remain with grandma and grandpa. The last time we took our kids to spend time with mom, we got to meet an HVAC technician from one of the oldest HVAC companies in the area. Mom informed us that one of grandpa’s friends had started the HVAC company 60 years ago. At that time, they specialized on cooling systems which were on high demand. Folks were still using wood burning stoves during winter to keep their homes warm and comfortable. Later, the HVAC company would venture into heating and introduced several new heating systems. Folks in the area, including grandpa, embraced the new heating systems despite them costing a small fortune. Now, 60 years later, the owner’s son keeps the legend going and the HVAC company is a big employer in the area. Grandma knew the HVAC technician there to service her unit as a young boy who grew up in the area. They exchanged a few pleasantries as mom inquired about his parents and promised to give them a call soon.
