As a kid, I regularly wanted a pet.
But, our parents refused to get a single.
They explained that a pet is a lot of responsibility. It was better I wait until I was living in our locale to get a single. At that time, it felt enjoy they just didn’t want myself and others to have a pet that would mess up the house. So, I vowed to adopt a single as soon as I was out of the house. That didn’t happen. I went to university abroad and stayed in the university accommodation for the entire time. It’s only after relocating back home and finding an apartment that I managed to adopt a pet. At that time, I wasn’t living on our own since our fiance had followed myself and others after I landed a good job. Our apartment felt so much better with our current best friend. But, after about 2 weeks, all of us started to notice our pet wasn’t feeling well. He was shivering, sneezing and coughing so all of us took him to the vet. The vet advised us to check the air conditioner at home. Apparently when you set the temperature control too low it can cause your pet to fall sick. The two of us had no idea. I must admit I enjoy our home to be the same temperature as the inside of a freezer. My fiance is the same way since he grew up in a much colder temperature. But, clearly our pet isn’t a fan of such low temps. The two of us had to adjust the temperature control temperature settings and he’s now thriving. We’ve been thinking about Heating and A/C zoning, that way all of us can keep our bedroom as cool as all of us want without affecting the rest of the house.
