I always wanted to be a wealthy woman when I grew up.
- As a kid, I saw my parents have such a hard time because of lack of money.
More so, my mom was affected the hardest since she was a housewife. Dad was a bit stingy with the funds and she rarely ever got to make any financial decision for the family. Watching mom not have a coin to her name made me want to work and be independent. In school, we had a mentor who spoke to us about the importance of having your own money. As a college student, I worked odd jobs and rarely called home to ask dad for assistance. I started a small business that took off after graduating and it felt so good to make financial decisions on my own. Since I had extra, I started looking into investing in real estate. I went ahead and bought this old house in a lovely area that was in need of repair. The contractor I hired also advised me to have the AC system inspected. If it was faulty, the best thing was to replace it before putting the house on the market. I went online to trace the best AC business in the area and booked an AC professional to come inspect the unit. The AC professional came at the agreed time and started looking at the old AC system in the house. Because of its aging status, there were many faulty parts in it, plus, it also had mold. After his investigation, the AC professional advised me it was better to install a modern and energy efficient AC system in the house. This would be a great selling point to buyers who were interested in purchasing the property.
